Where I stayed
The next morning I had plans to do some Whitewater Rafting, unfortunately the weather was not cooperating and the tour operator canceled the trip. Other than my "American Culture" filled day in La Ceiba not much else happened. The following day I headed out to Copan which took a total of 7 hours crammed in a bus. Look for an update soon on Copan.
After spending more time than I planned on Utila ( This island has a way of doing that), I caught the ferry back to La Ceiba for the night. Well there I met a Dutch couple who had just got there as well and we all decided to grab dinner. La Ceiba is Honduras 3rd largest city and has many amenities just like a big city back in the states. Walking around town we decided to check out the mall. The mall itself was just like any American style mall. It had a food court, arcade, department stores and a movie theater. Heading to the food court I decided on some "Pollo Compero" ( think KFC but with a latin twist). Later, after we all had ate we walked around the mall and noticed the movie theater. They were playing "Siete Almas" ( Seven Pounds, movie with Will Smith), at a price of $2.50 a ticket it was to much of a bargain to give up.
