Another good day. Noticed when THE BUNNIES lost to Manly we were literally down a hole, today as the Grand Final was being played we were down a salt mine. Drove to Berchtesgaden for a day at the salt mines. Welcomed by a 21 gun salute. Place has been mined since early 1500. Dress up in overalls then down a train,a slide, walked for a while, an underground boat ride, another slide, a funiculater & then a train to the top. Worth the trip.
Overall took 2 hours. Kids & us had a great time. Have a guide but spoke only  German so we carried an Audio Guide. All was going good till Rachel says her was not working. Let her use mine for a while till she discovered hers was fine she was just listening to the back of the device not the speaker.
Went for a drive to  Konigssee to have a look at the Eagles Nest. A place built on top of a cliff for Hiltler as a present from the nazi party. Got there to discover was in the clouds so thought why bother. Came back to Inzell for a riveting game of putt-putt, which I won of course. A walk through the woods near the motel and then back for dinner.
This place allows dogs, which is fine I suppose. But people who live in the town come to the restaurant at night with their dogs. I could not imagine why I would go out for a meal & take a dog. "Going to the Country Club, lets go Scruffy". These are not small dogs but tonight a boarder collie was there. At breakfast we have to sit in a different dining area due to other guests having dogs.
Off to Fuzzen tomorrow to see the Neuschwasten castle, the one Walt Disney modelled his on. Then Munich on Tuesday.
Till Then.
