Our first tour of Incan ruins around the Cusco area. Sacsahuaman  (pronounced "sexy woman"), Puca Pukara, Tambomachay and Quenko

History lesson: The Inca empire spanned 4 countries and Cusco was the capital of the empire. Cusco was said to be in the shape of the puma and Sacsahuaman was said to be the head and teeth (Im guessing the jagged walls was what resembled teeth)

Edgar arrived a healing ceremony for us. The healer came from a tribe that takes 4 days by bus and 3 days walking to get to. He made offerings to the mountains. We are very glad llama sacrifice is illegal however they get around that law by using a llama fetus. Interestingly, they also use alphabet soup to represent all the names of the people that are in the ceremony.

Needless to say the ceremony was very interesting and when Edgar asked us to say the names of mountains in the US to make the offering too, we chose the Laguna Mountains. So if there are no fires this year, you can thank us!  =)
