We headed out in search of a greasy diner to calm our the storm raging in our bellies. Last night's wine is taking a toll on me today and makes me realize I can no longer keep up the way I used to! Ouch.

We waited for a seat forever as it was brunch-time and everyone had the same idea we did. Eggs, bacon and taties went down like a dream, washed down by two freshly brewed coffees and some water for health purposes!

After brekkie we headed out for some shopping, something I haven't done in forever! H&M. Jacob. A girl's small dream. We headed home around 2:30pm as I had to hit the road to Ottawa, my second destination.

I am getting pretty excited about the Travelpod party! After being a moderator on this site since last year, I am really looking forward to meeting Carmella, Lucky and the rest of the members who are going to be there. I've never known anyone only from being online before. Travelpod is a first for me. At first I was apprehensive to tell the truth but I have made a few great friends from TP who I regularly keep in touch with, and who really do add a special element to my life.

I really enjoy what I do for the site. The moderating job brings out a natural curiosity I have for the world and for people. So far it's been great and it just keeps getting better. It's great to be a part of a community of like-minded people. The crew does such a great job of keeping the site up. The zeal of hearing new ideas and recommendations seems to bode high for the crew who works behind the scenes, always trying to make improvements and (really) listen to what The People want and need out of the service. Cudos. I just wish I had found TP years ago when I first started traveling for long periods! I wish I could have the memories, the thoughts, the specifics. The little details that bring back a flood of memories.

I  haven't seen my friend Leah since she moved to Ottawa. Well, not IN Ottawa. She's come home for a brief visit so I'm REALLY looking forward to playing catch-up! She's a Gemini too, and tho I don't put all my stock in horrorscopes, there is something interesting and bang-on about personalities and signs.

She and I are really different, yet fascinatingly the same in many of the ways that we think. Finishing each other's sentences? Forget it. We know what the other is going to say before she says it! Just the look on her face, I know what she's thinking!

So, off I jet, into the sun, on another long road with the anticipation of fun times ahead.
