The weekend is going to be a bit of a liver blaster. I plan on heading up to Ottawa for a TP meet-up. I want to finally meet the brains behind Travelpod and got the opportunity so ofcourse I am going to take it. I also have a really good friend who now lives in Ottawa who I haven't seen in ages. With a stop in Toronto for an overnighter at my pal Miranda's tonight the weekend is going to be three birds with one stone!

I left home about 5pm to make it to Mir's by dinner. She lives in Ajax which is the 'burbs outside of TO. Miranda, my long-time partner-in-crime, has been living there for awhile and I don't get to go that often so I'm always excited when I get the chance!

She greeted me with open arms. And meat! A yummy roast with all the fixens is definitely one of the keys to my heart! Her boyfriend Jared and his pal Cam were joining us in the evening festivities until the time came for them to head out clubbing and leave the girls to their thing. Talk up a storm! Absence does make the heart grow fonder, that's for sure.

We had some wine. The some more. And a bit more. When the clock struck 2am we were both ready for bed.The weekend has started! I head to Ottawa tomorrow. I'm anticipating about four hours of driving before getting to Leah's in Westborough, a cool enclave of Ottawa for more festivities. :)

I forgot my camera but there are piccies from the TP party to be seen two entries past this one.
