I am here in Frankfurt, Germany, in our hostel on the south bank. This is a really nice hostel, very open and airy, lots of light. It is right across the street from the river Main, which has a very nice river walk on both sides. We are staying in an eight-person dorm, which has five of us total for now.
Both flights were very very turbulent, since the weather across eastern North America was terrible. The first flight to Chicago was bumpy the whole way and the overseas flight was constistently bumpy for the first four hours. However, I actually slept most of the flight, which is usually difficult for me.
We arrived this morning and took the train (S-Bahn) to the Hauptbahnhof, then walked to our hostel. After checking in, we took a walk around the Altstadt and saw the Dom and the Römerberg. Very picturesque, but it's a sweltering hot day!!
