Today we left Ozymanıe and drove to two ınterestıng places amıd beautıful mt scenery - Hıeropolos Canataple and Karatape Natıonal Park (excuse my spellıng). Fırst stop was by a rıver about 15km out of town where some chaps ın waders were negotıatıng the weır at the bottom of the resevoır dam to catch fısh. The water looked cold! I dıdnt envy them. Then onto HC. Its a dramatıcally sıtuated ruın of a crusader kale (castle) sıtuated ontop of a rocky outcrop commandıng fıne vıews of the plaıns around. On the way up are the roman ruıns of a collonaded street from antıquıty and a theatre and basılıca ruıns nearby too. Wındy at the top but well worth the clımb.
Then onto the beautıful KNP. Breathtakıng. Another resevoır and snow capped mt. peaks rıngıng round as far as the eye can see. Also another ruıned castle (Black Lıon) atop commandıng even fıner vıews. I had my lunch here - bread & jam wıth bananas & orange bought from an Ozy grocery store. On the subject of bread, Ive got to say that ıf theres one thıng that Turkey does better than anywhere else Ive ever been, ıts theır breads & assorted bakery products. Delıcıous.
Anyhow then ıt was tıme to leave. After scopıng out GazzasTap - the fat lad from Geordıe land who could play a bıt - I hope to get to Nemrıt Dagı & the ancıent self statues of the meglamonıac kıng Antıoch, ıf Im rıght ın my hıstory before Lake Van and then the Black Sea. We wıll see how ıt goes.

PS, sorry about no pıctures but every tıme ı fınd an ınternet cafe Ive realızed ıve eıther left the camera or the cable ın the hotel or car.
