Hi, first entry on travelpod. Still in Al Ain, but my thoughts are on the trip ahead. I finish work on the 8th Feb, and then plan on spending some time up in the  "big smoke", Dubai, where I'll watch the Women's Tennis from 19-25 Feb. Then, it's time to put the pedal to the metal, hit the highway and blast out of the UAE. 1st stop is Saudi, and its straight as an arrow Pipeline Rd, up to Jordan, via Aqaba. There, I hope to see Wadis Rum & Mousa, and of course Petra, before hitting Syria, whose big draw for me at any rate will be Palymra and Krak de Chevaliers. Anyway, before any of that happens I've got the beureacracy to organize. Hopefully it'll be a case of  "mafi muschallah". Keep you posted.

Sounds like some fantastic views ahead of you...
... can you take some pictures at the women's tennis?

Re: Sounds like some fantastic views ahead of you.
Sure can. I'll try to get some Sharapova shots.

Why do they call you wadi runner?
Haven't seen you running down any wadis recently. Shouldn't you be called wadi limper?

Wadirunner's Etymology
Yeah, wadilimper or wadihobbler would be more accurate now. But I like to live off past glories, when I soared through the wadis.
PB: 30.30 - beat that bullworker. BTW, is that you Murphy??
