We had an 8¨00 leaving time.  However,asMichael had to wash up we hadto takethe tent down beforebreakfast and he was a bit enthusiastic and collapsed it on me as I was repaclking!  Im still notup with the grabbing the good seatson the bus so ended up sitting facing backwards again but atleast Iwas sitting with Michael,Trudy and Paula -all 500 players so timewent quickly!  .5 hr to Chauchilla cemetary to seethe funeral pitsand mummies over a 1000 yrs old (pre - Incan) in the desert.  It was pretty grusome actually.  I know they´ve restored them with respect (unlike the graverobberswho scattered bones all over the place) but it just seems rude to play with the dead and turn them into a tourist attraction!  There were about 12 funeral pits and lotsmore mummies (and parts of mummies) than that.
About 2.5 500 hrs to Puerto Inca -a sheltered bat surrounded by desolute hills.  Very dusty and looked a bit rough at first but there was a good rough hotel there (and that´s it, no town) and although we camped we could use the mini-fottballpitch, the volleyball court, the table tennis table, lotsof clean chairs and tables and the sea looked pretty.  Played volleyball for 2-3 hours and was as crap as always and the alpha males dominated but I did get better and it was a lot of fun.  Then the alpha males and a couple others played the hotel staff on the sandy football pitch while Anna and I got beersand chairs and sat on the sideline drinking (and cheering of course).  I got some great action shots and we werejoined by others. Although the locals were probably more skillful than our guys big kicks and very strong defence (and the fact they ytowered over the little locals) told and Tteam Tucan won 5-1.  This had been great fun to watch!
Chatted to Anna,Jeremy, ellen, Jo, Jazz and others with a couple of beers (they are 620 ml here) till dinner at 700(?).  There was very nice chicken (fish was the main thing but I´m allergic) and potatos cooked in the campfire with salad etc. and it was very nice to eat these sitting by the campfire (I had picked a spot away from where the wind was blowing), smeeling the aromic wood with beer in hand.  Wandered up to play pool with Keith and Anna but it was occupied and didn´t feel like dancing in the mini-disco (leader Jo had volunteered up her ipod as their music wasn´t working and was nice enough to put an Abba song on for me)  so sat outside and watched the table tennis joined by various people at various times.  Anna and Keith bought meafew drinks and gave me cigs and we had nice chats. We watched Jeremy plungre off the concrete patio trying to reach a hard hit t-tewnnis shot and he landed on his wrist pretty hard and boy did it swell up.  People got ice for it and so on but he looked white for quite a while.  Binny joined us and talked politics for awhile but it was time for bed.  Got there about 1250.  Felt a lot closer to everybody today thank goodness.
