Nothing about Day Five went according to plan from waking up late to the corn palace to the rescue mission (more about that later) to the mountainous drive that put us at our hotel at midnight!  I kept breathing and flowed with the day and it turn out rather great!

Our first stop - unplanned - was the Corn Palace in Mitchell.  It was a large building housing some corny history but the outside motif was all corn and each year they have a different theme.  This year was Everyday Heroes.  The whole area economy is based on farming and some tourism so it was a cool place to see and support.
