Wow, it was a short ride but had to hold onto those handlebars. There is a very good reason for them building a wind farm by Vega on the way here. You can tell weather systems are changing by the high clouds and wind; it is remarkably warm high 60s but that too will change by the weekend when it'll be in the 40-50s.
Stopped at the OK Travel Center shortly after the border and was convinced that I should do a layover. I had already decided if I did, I'd stay at the Meridian Inn and it so happened the woman at the desk found me a coupon book with one for them. Love these little savings.
So I got in just after 1pm and unpacked the bike and covered him since there is a trolley stop right at the Inn.
I went to the OKC Monument and it is a beautiful, quiet site in the middle of the city. Very moving.
From there I walked to the Visual Arts Center and saw the amazing Chihuly glass exhibition. The Library was across from there so I wanted to start my entry for the day. I will wallk on to the Bricktown area where a canal may provide transport near the Inn after a meal.
