Nothing like a good night sleep without a thought about what time I have to get up and pack the bike. Because he's waiting on one of the clutch springs to be shipped in (express), and for the wonderful mechanic to gently grind the clutch basket back to its smooth state (thus saving a $500 part order). This is one of the could be worse scenarios, so you enjoy what you have to suck up. The motel is quiet and has a spa hot tub, so you can guess where I was when all the details were delivered to me and digested.
I also decided last night that I would really just do nothing, not even think about getting out of town this afternoon when I get my keys back (you know I really am an optimist). So I slept esp. well and felt like I was on vacation this morning. I guess 11 days of ride, eat, sleep, repeat will mean that when you don't, you become a bowl of jello. Or maybe that was the effect of the hot tub.
Walking everywhere has its benefits and their library internet access is a boon right now in NO-NEXTEL LAND. I can get caught up on map browsing and maybe work out a route to CA, who knows?
UPDATE: It's 3:00 and I returned to shop to hear that the deadline on parts order was missed yesterday, so I am waiting on the delivery tomorrow AM and hopefully all will be together by ??? And once more, any guesses out there? My optimism is a tad more restrained at this point. Did I mention there is only 1 mechanic for the shop?
