Whoa. I have to say I was thrilled to see the Arch on the horizon. And I was even more excited that getting to it was easy. I arrived before rush hour and snapped some photos before heading out of town to find a motel and process that I really was in MO. The motel is beside Six Flags and I'd have to rate the Arch as 6 flags more fun too. The manager said the park is open on weekends until Thanksgiving and I was lucky I wasn't trying to ride around here in summer, with all the lines.
We also talked about how their Chrysler plant (minivans) was likely closing and in general, the outlook wasn't bright. What can I say, being an example of budget cutbacks?
