Indian summer arrived. The sunny skies and warm temps compounded the joy of biking today. The final stretch to the hostel was thru quiet, winding small country roads. Hostels are interesting places, some have a list of chores you need to do to sign out, others are party spots or school group torments. This one is on the Appalachian Trail and since the hiking season is almost over but for a few hardy souls, it promised to be quiet. Well, almost; a bicycle race has been going on for 2 days near here and in spite of his not expecting any stay-overs, a small contingent decided to stay for one more night. Of course, they should all be so exhausted that it will be fairly quiet, right?
Gettysburg is 20 miles or so away, so that's on the list of stops for tomorrow. Not sure if I'm heading far or keeping a small day. We shall see.
