My second night bus in a row was actually amazing!  The seats were huge and we were even given blankets and pillows and a half way decent snack box!  The things you get excited over when you travel is really this.  There is nothing better the traveling in semi comfort.  And it did not hurt that our attendant on the bus was easy on the eyes!

So we arrived in our 3 country: Uruguay.  It felt very western and very chilly compared to Brazil.  I was looking forward to putting on my jeans that night!  But first we had to find a place to stay.  After taking a cab from the bus terminal we did not like the original place we were going to stay, and so we hoped on a bus.  Or Mo hopped on the bus and the driver drove away with her and not me!  I went running after it and she tried to tell him that I needed to get on the bus, and so he stopped and was oh so pleasant.  We paid for our fare and smiled nicely and he was such a jerk!  And then when we went to get off the bus, Mo hopped off and I started down the steps and he started driving off with me mid descent!  And I had a huge pack on my back!  What a jerk!  Not a very good impression of our new country.  The bus drivers in Brazil were amazing!

But here we were and needed currency!  And here we go again!  I think we visited 5 banks or more until we finally could get some money out!  How frustrating!

We tried not to let it all get us down and decided to look for a bike rental place.  I was so looking forward to renting a bike and taking a ride on the coast, but the stars were not aligned and so we had to walk.  But there was not much to see and after a few hours walking next to a main drag we turned around and headed back to the hotel.  Diner time it was and we had a great meal with wine and pasta!  We had not had wine in so long!  And then right below our hotel was a great little Irish pub!  We had not been in one of those for the entire trip either!  There was even an Irish/Scottish band with kilts and everything!  And the beer was a local microbrewery that was dark and smooth!  I was in heaven.
