Big juicy beef burger! Thats what we were craving after trek hut meals the past week and we did find one and it was sooooo wicked!
Overall so glad to be back but after another 2 days here in the madness, polluted, overcrowded, noisy, tout infested place, we were ready to move on.
There is a great t-shirt here that says:
No Rickshaw
No Hashish
No One Rupee
No Tiger Balm
No School Pen
No Just Looking
No Problem!
Sums it up nicely and thats only a few of what they try to sell you! It will be so nice to get to London and walk down the street and have no one want to sell you something or want you to give them something. Mind you the one time we did actually want something - tiger balm after the trek and we had aching legs, there was no man willing to sell us Tiger Balm!
We tried to get our Indian visas finalised but the que was so big that we got to the front and they closed. Very frustrating and a total waste of a morning. "come back tomorrow!". Why why why didnt we pay the extra money and get it done in Bangkok???
We need to get out of Kathmandu and will give up on the visa for a while. Dan booked us the bus over to Pokhara, a nice smallish town by a lake with mountain views. Should be good to chill out there for a few days, get away from the madness and try and shake my cold.
