Well, its 2 sleeps out from the farewell to Japan and Hello Asia ticky tour 2005! As I write I am sitting here eating a fresh salad with chopsticks - by far the prefered utensils for eating salad thesedays!
Packing is going slow however I have discovered new methods of procrastination which are interesting and fun - last night I spent 1 hour sewing the NZ flag badge to my pack. An all important identity thing that really does need doing before setting off backpacking! Reality is the crunch is coming and I really need to give it a good nuge soon.
I know my aim of the trip was to be successful. For all those science wallys, success will be measure both by qualitative and quantative measures and I think I will define it as:
1. Amount of fun had measure by smiling, laughing and generally having a mint time.
2. Lack of mosquito bites
3. Lack of food poisening bouts
4. Number of delicious cocktails sipped
5. Number of fantasitc shopping purchases
6. Number of amazing photos taken
7. Interesting new people I meet
8. Number of times I (am aware of)getting scammed by the locals
9. At the end of the adventure I will still have 1 boyfriend and 2 friends - Jo and Pie!

Many have asked me what will my last supper in Japan be on Saturday night. I am happy to anounce that Dan and I will be going to our local Izakaya and my Fav Jap restaruant to eat Kimuchi pizza, meat and eggplant gratin, scallop and mushroom salad and fried chicken with chilli sauce - maybe not so healthy but oh so OISHI!

Well, my packing has yet to start packing itself so I better get to it.
Next entry will be from the road! First stop is Kuala Lumpur for 1 night before arriving in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for a week - just me!

BRING IT ON!!!
