We had another beautiful day on Monhegan.  We had intentions of taking a hike, but as it turned out, I was much too sore and stiff after dancing the night before and doing all the walking I'd done on previous days.  So, we relaxed, spent a good part of the morning saying good-bye to various guests as they left at different times for one of three different ports on the mainland of Maine.  Our ferry was scheduled to leave at 3:15 pm for New Harbor.

We had a casual lunch with Drew and Jessica and some of her cousins, Aunt and Uncle, and friends.  Before long, it was time to depart.  Drew and Jess will be on the Island until Wednesday, then they're leaving for New York and on to Italy for their honeymoon.

Larry and I were sad to say good-bye.  We had a wonderful time on Monhegan and we loved everything about the island, not to mention the bonus of the wedding celebration and the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people.

After we reached New Harbor and picked up our car and we decided to stop at a laundromat again before we headed back to Boston.  We did that and then had dinner.  We both decided to have spaghetti rather than more seafood.  It was so delicious.

We got within 75 miles of Boston and stopped for the night at Wells, Maine.  We were very tired and didn't balk at the rates, even though they were higher than we had been paying on the trip.  We were ready for sleep!
