Holy smokes, these Japanese fellers can get a little nuts sometimes. We got into Fukuoka and got settled, then we headed out for a late dinner a little before midnight. Fukuoka is reknowned for its night life. After the best ramen you could ever dream of tasting at Menchan, we crossed the bridge to Nakusa, the red light district. Falling down drunk business men with 2 or 3 hookers on their arms everywhere. We we definitely the only gaijin in sight. The crazy thing was it was seedy, but did not seem in the least bit dangerous. There was also a pet store open at 2 AM where drunken fools could buy their "dates" a puppy. Japan is bizarre.
