In other news; we spent the day yesterday wondering around Bridgetown. Typical Rob and Dre style of doing nothing but walking around. Took a few pictures, ate roti, drank banks beer etc. We were back to our house around noon in time to have more flying fish on the board walk, more banks, and a shockingly delicious Pina Colada.
Spent most of the afternoon in a food coma on the beach, either sleeping or floating. Magic. We headed as a family unit over to Just Grillin, and mowed down some dolphin and jerk chicken before heading back over to Bert's Bar to catch the hockey game.
At Bert's we met a guy named Doug who not only knew sweet card tricks but is also the sales rep for Stoney Ridge Winery. Small world. Unfortunatly out of no where the Leaf's game turned into the Sens game when Eugene Melnyk arrived on the island and starting watching it at home. Since the bar steals his internet feed we we're S.O.L as far as the leafs go. It's not every day the owner of a rival hockey team shows up on the island you happen to be vacationing on forcing you to watch his stupid team. effer. How to deal... order another bucket of Banks and carry on.
This morning Rob's dad, Geoff took us all around the island showing us some things. We went to Gun Hill, and St. John' church. St. John's Church is a beautiful old church with old tomb from the 1800's. I love old cemeteries. I find them so peaceful and interesting. It didn't hurt that the church over looked one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. We kept driving around the coast up and down some insano steep hills praying the van would make it up. Then had a beautiful lunch at a place called Edge Water. Shocking.. more flying fish, banks and Pina Colada's. After a few more stops at other beautiful look out points we made our way back to the hotel for nap time.
Takin it easy tonight.. banks and euchre. Although, whenever I play euchre it tends to get later and later and later as I get more and more inebriated. Maybe one day I'll learn.....
