Where I stayed
First on our agenda was the Osaka Aquarium which is one of the few aquariums in the world to house a whale shark. We totally disagree with the principal of keeping such beautiful animals in captivity but reason that maybe by giving the general public an opportunity to see some of the oceans beautiful creatures it might go a long way to creating awareness which could result in more conservation. Let's hope so.
We spent more than two hours walking through the massive aquarium which gets its theme from the 'ring of fire' which is the belt of volcanoes surrounding the earth
Nightlife in Osaka as can be expected is quite a spectacle with youngsters (I sound so old now) dressed to impress (but not as daring as Tokyo fashion). The streets and building turn to flashing neon in every possible direction.
Japan was a bit of a whirlwind tour and we found we had very little spare or relaxation time and we're expecting Korea to be the same. I've realised this is why we need to keep our Blog as up to date as possible because so much happens so quickly and once you get behind it takes quite a while to catch-up.
The last thing I have to add about our fantastic Japanese visit is that the best toilets in the world are found in Japan. They have everything from built in seat warmers to options that wash and rinse everything down there!!!
