To get to Bangkok we took a ferry from Ko Kha-Ngan north to Chumphon passing the beautiful little island of Ko Tao. Our 10 hour bus trip was very comfortable and passed in no time.
Two nights was all we had in Bangkok since we had visited the city on a previous holiday and got to see most of the highlights. Inge-Marie had unluckily caught the same stomach bug I had a few days earlier so most of her time was spent recovering. We we did get out we didn't venture further than the major shopping district with its street lined malls. The retail therapy seemed to work and we was feeling much better when we boarded our flight to Chiang Mai.
