Along most of the major roads in Australia any points of interest or 'tourist drive' are very well sign posted. Probably to lure tourists off the main roads and into the small neighbouring towns which have become cut off as most motorists just fly by (cant quite say 100km/h if flying) and skip the little towns.
We decided we needed a little break from the driving and turned off on the Stuart Point tourist drive. As the pictures show this is just another good example of the beautiful beaches and scenery Australia has to offer. I was also quite intrigued by the rows of post boxes you pass in some of the rural areas, all with different designs and shapes and often mini versions of the full size house.
The road to Brisbane also has a dozen or so Koala sanctuaries where you can pet and feed koalas at a cost of course. We are still holding out to do this in the wild!
