First stop on our friendship tour was Cape Town, to catch up with our dear friends Jamie and Monique who also coincidently lived in Dubai for many years.
Our trip from the airport to Blouberg was typical to what most first time visitors experience, extreme poverty and wealth rolled into one of the most scenic cities we have ever had the opportunity to experience.
We started the visit with a wonderful lunch at a little place called the Plaas Huisie (Farm House) and we could not have asked for better weather, clear blue skies, low 30's and a slight SE breeze.
Jamie and Monique being the fantastic hosts that they are prepared a wonderful braai for us at their home in Blouberg
Jamie as always was not shy with the wine and we didn't need much convincing either.
Thanks very much guys for your hospitality we will often think back to the evening and dream of that tender fillet and perfectly matched bottle of Kaapzicht Merlot.
