I woke up early (daylight savings included!) and decided that I should go for a run since I haven't run since we left Canada. It was probably 4 degrees but at least the rain from the previous day cleared up. I decided to run the road that lead down the the valley to the caves. Nothing like 8k straight uphill to get you back into it. The 8k back down was pretty fun though. Along the way I ran into many kangaroo who were along the side of the road. They took off pretty quickly when they saw me coming, I was very surprised to see how fast they could move along the side of the cliffs. While I was running Gina went out in search of the platypus again. She managed to find two this time but again no good pictures.

We checked out of our room and made our way back to the main highway. We drove back toward Sydney before turning north and heading to Manly and the beaches on the north shore of Sydney. The beaches were nice except it was very windy making it cold and the surf was very high so you couldn't swim. We walked around but you couldn't really lay and relax. We managed to find our hotel using only the crappy map that the rental company had give us and a google maps picture that was in our tour package which I thought was very impressive. After checking in we drove down to the Manly wharf and walked around for a bit before going for Indian food for supper which was excellent.

We have an early morning tomorrow as we need to drive through Sydney on our way to the airport so that we can catch our flight to Uluru (Ayres Rock). It was only 38 degrees there two days ago... Outback here we come!

Sounds like you are having tooooo much fun even thought the weather doesn't sound great. Wonderful pictures.
Thanksgiving dinner at Phil's tonight. Deep fried turkey with all the homemade fixings including pumpkin pie from my garden grown pumpkin. Great feast.
Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. Ace had lots of excitement this weekend with everyone around. Lacey even made friends with him. Weather is cooling off tomorrow - not like the heat you are headed to. Great pictures. Thanks for the updates.

Happy Anniversary! I know it is the 9th here but it should be the 10th there by now! Have a great celebration. Just as cool in Jasper this year as when you got married!
Here is the news from here -Calling for snow down south Edmonton and Central AB. Koren had a baby boy Owen Samuel Hennessy. We are getting a new 2012 Highlander sport this weekend in Sherwood Park! Went to Garth Phillips funeral last Friday in Calmar. Phil and Becky cooked Thanksgiving dinner for us - delicious. That's the news for now!

Great updates - Thanx Andre for being such a good writer!
I started the morning by putting ice melt on my icy/snow covered side walk. It poured rain and then snowed 3 inches - winter has arrived! (at least in the Hills!) Missed you at thanksgiving. Enjoy the "down under".
Take care, have fun, make memories and be safe!
Yes, Lacy actually tolerated Ace this weekend and got out of the vehicle on her own.
