Hi everyone,

We have made it to San Francisco and are waiting to board our flight to Sydney.

We were a little pressed for time leaving Fort McMurray this morning due to issues getting away from the oil factory. We made it to Athabasca and left Ace with Faye and Greg where he will be free to patrol the farm for the next month. A big thank you for taking care of the little guy. Our flight out of Edmonton was delayed by an hour which allowed us to get a good lunch before the three hour flight to San Fran. We both slept for most of the flight.

Once on the ground we had 7 hours to kill before our flight to Sydney so we found a shuttle that took us to fisherman's wharf and pier 39. We walked around for a bit before going for supper at Boudin's to have clam chowder out of a sourdough bread bowl. It was awesome, it might be my second biggest weakness next to Vietnamese noodle bowls. After that we watched the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge before catching the shuttle back to the airport. Next up: 14.5 hours in a 747...

Glad to hear you are on your way. Have to agree the sourdough bread bowl clam chowder was excellent when we were there too.
