Hello Everyone,

We are in Maun, Botswana and just finished our 2 day trip into the Orkavango Delta.  On our first day in Maun, we went for a senic flight over the delta to see where we would be spending the next two days.  From the air we saw some elephants, hippos and giraffes which was cool.  The next morning we got on a boat which took us to the Mokoro (hollowed out wooden boat) station where we got into the Mokoros and our polers took us up river for 2 hours.  We camped on the river bank with no facilities at all or fence to keep the animals out.  There was a herd of elephants about 100m up the bank when we first got there.  In the delta we went on a few game walks were we saw more elephants, zebra, a big herd of buffalo and impala.  We were hoping to see hippos and crocs too but no luck this time.  We got back to Maun this morning and got cleaned up which was nice.  We hit the road again this afternoon as we work our way to Livingstone.

Phil, numerous Windhoek Lagers have been consumed.  Beer o'clock starts whenever we are done driving for the days.  In the delta, it was far more efficient to bring in boxed wine as it holds alot in a small space and doesn't have to be kept cool.
