This is the ninth Travel Blog I"ve done in three years.  I've enjoyed doing it because it becomes a diary/log of my trip---I've gone back often to look up names and places that I needed to be refreshed on.  But, I also write it to share some very interesting experiences with you. Thanks for coming to read.

As already mentioned, I'll be starting the European part of this trip in Aarhus, Denmark, I'll visit with UCG members and new people in our ministry. From there going on to Oslo and Karlskoga, Sweden. From there to Budapest to meet with our team of four who will be Teaching English as a Second Language for the second year in Vinogradov, Ukraine to orphans and street children. From there I'll conclude the trip in Chernihev, Ukraine where LifeNets has been working for more than 13 years with victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of 1986.

The main reason for my travels is to visit with people. There's my pastoral side in my various responsibilities in the United Church of God. I gain the most satisfaction from and value from interaction with people. I am always interested in visiting new people who have come to undersand the big issues of life--who have not only found answers to life's purpose, but are living a new lifestyle as Christians.

This July I will have worked 40 years doing this kind of work since my June 1969 graduation from Ambassador College in the United Kingdom. In my pastoral work I pastor two churches in central Indiana --- Lafayette and Terre Haute. I also oversee the Nordic / Baltic / Eastern European areas of the world.

The other part of me is the humanitarian / charity side.  I had done some work with Ambasssador Foundation in the late 1980's and 1990's.  Then some miscellaneous projects in 1996-1999.  But, in 1999 I decided to start a public charity called LifeNets.  Through a network of interested parties and volunteers it has spread to various parts of the world-- very successfully, I may add.  Currently our main projects are in Sub-Sahara Africa and Ukraine. I travel to those areas and enjoy seeing positive outcomes in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

OK.  That's the preamble.  This trip will include pastoral as well as humanitarian components.
