The morning began with Henry Khembo's son Innocent driving us to the Blantyre airport for our flight to Zambia.  Air travel between these two poor countries is VERY sparse.  We had trouble getting this flight.  Our plane is a turboprop. Even though it runs only three times a week, the place was still less than half full  The flight duration was one hour 15 minutes. The plane was in poor maintenace condition as the upholstery was ripped, tray tables broken etc.

When we arrived in Lusaka, no one was there to pick us up. We waited and waited. On my Blackberry I had some telephone numbers.  We bought a local SIM card and used our local telephone to finally get Shirley Banda who happened to be home. We thought we'd have afternoon services today, but we never connected from the United States and they never got our email message. The last message they had was for another flight that was ultimately canceled.  So, they thought we were stranded in Malawi. They were glad to hear that we made it.  We got to the Banda's home by taxi. Then we were taken by car to the Feast site that is about half hour from the Banda's home.

We really enjoyed seeing everyone at the Feast site where the people were in the middle of Family Day.  I loved seeing all the fun games, especially the Tug of "Peace."  At Sunset the Last Great Day starts.  After being at the Feast site, we went to Galino’s chicken place for dinner.

The Banda's stay at the Feast site and we stay at Banda's.
