Today we arrived in San Fransisco. We heard that it's quite cold up here, but turns out is another scorcher! We headed right down to the Fishermans Wharf. We went to Pier 39, where this time of year the Sealions all come to rest, so the place stank of fish! Then we walked all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and then over it - it took blimmin ages! We were so tired that that we ended up getting a lift back with the Highway Patrol. Later on in the hostel we were chatting to people and discovered that one of the guy's was Kat, from Unis' brother - small world! I am absolutely shattered after so much walking today!

Went to Alcatraz today, it was well worth the money going on this tour! We took a ferry over to the island and did the audio where they tell you about the life of convicts at Alcatraz. We walked to the steepest, windiest street in San Fransisco - i was knackered when we got there so didn't bother climbing it, and waited at the bottom for Clare to climb up to the top and back! We went on the 'Burrito Bar Crawl' this morning, and it was $1 a drink - result! Met some lovely lovely people from our hostel who we went out with, so will hopefully catch up with them again somewhere on our travels. Got very drunk and went to the cheesiest 80's club ever! I think I may have emailed some of you when I got in this evening?!

Went to Haight Street - another street just like Brighton down the Lanes! Had a really early night recovering from the last one, and ready for Yosemite tomorrow!
