after driving for hours and hours through rain, fields of sleeping cows and a plague of locusts, we finally arrive in queensland, sunshine state - not on that particular evening - and our first, and very necessary, stop in camooweal, where we stay in the very empty caravan park attached to the post office hotel motel, have some tea and a few drinks with a racist mechanic and a wonderful ex-englander, once from hampshire! obviously i got very excited when she started talking about the mothership, southampton! good ol' england!
