Wednesday nights staff banquet was phenomenal! I was expecting to be like last year and for it to be a meal and that's it - but it was so goooood! The food was all made by an actual chef it was so good. It was two of the head staffs 16th and 21st year at camp so they did a thing where each important member in the staff would light a candle of the cake. And when they called them up they played funny music and everyone danced along.
They also did a slide show of pictures from the summer - omg it had everyone crying it was sooo good!

Then we somehow turned the meal into a dance party, the dining room was half empty so we had pleantly of room! At about 11 we all went down to Ellen's house - which people very rarely get to go in - and we sat in her living room and she told us camper stories hahaha. It was so funny!

At night me and poppy slept in bunk 7 with the other 2nd year counsellors. They went to sleep straight away but me and poppy sat up talking for a bit longer.

In the morning we were up for half 8 breakfast, which went on till about 10 cause Ellen kept telling us stuff. Them we had to put the benches we use for Shabbat away....and there's hundreds of them...

Then we had the job of cleaning the bunk.... Which is always super fun. I packed up my stuff (where did all this stuff come from?) and got our inspection. Then I headed up to the lodge to get payed. Managed to bag myself an extra $175 cause I'm a life guard and $100 for being pool head. Result. Ellen said sorry for our bunk over the summer and she was proud that we handled it so well cause any other counsellor wouldn't of - hence our co leaving first session.

I said goodbye to everyone and jumped in Lindsay's car and drove out of camp for the last time. We went to marylous to get the last coffee of the summer....and met all the people we had just said goodbye too....

I don't think I can describe where I was sitting in the car - poppy and lindsay had arranged all our stuff so that there was literally a vicky sized space on the seat. I sat cross legged buried under pillows....but we managed to fit 3 people's summers into one car which is impressive.

W made it to Lindsay's house around 3 - another typical beautiful American house. Weird thing is her mum works at the camp and is the one who does my evaluations and it's funny being in her house!

We showered and stuff then headed out to the mall for food and general shopping ;) we also went to the cinema to see ted, which I'd seen but it's so good I went again!

Literally 3 days till I come home.....waaaaaaaahhh xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I can't believe it's over for another year.

What are you planning on doing for the next 3 days?

Ted is SOOOO good.

I'm going to a Naming Day tomorrow - you probably know more about it than me as it's a Jewish thing.. ;o) But it's in a garden and it's going to be 30degrees in London to hurrah! Bring it on.

Enjoy the next few days.... MWAH xxx
