Well after my relatively good flight from LAX which saw me loose Thursday October 16th... it is now the day that will never be thanks to the international time line!!
Anyway the flight was ok, there was a screaming baby but luckily i had an empty seat next to me so i sprawled out and my i-pod saw to it that the baby was cancelled out!
I slept for about 8 hours and watched a film, dinner breakfast, so that was it, that and a chat with a monk... quite a good flight really. Getting through immigration was cool, i smiled and flirted a bit and it seemed to get me through and i still have my teabags!!
Bus to hostel, got chatting a few people and after dropping our bags off we wandered around the streets had food and then passed out, first night was one of much alcohol and meeting people. It was all good, free alcohol too.
Next few days consisted of sleeping off jetlag, wandering around, soaking up the sun near the harbour - which is lovely - and going through my options on what to do whilst I'm here, it took many many hours!! That was until the nice man at the hostel just did it all for me... which is the way it should be!!
So i have a lovely little car for 2 weeks for some exploring of the north island and then i head down south to pick up on a bus trip that will take me in a big figure 8 of the south island!
WEnt up the skycity tower thing today, lovely views all over the city, i've kinda developed this urge to go up the tall building in every city i go to!! Anyway it was cool, i've met some good english people, and had a good few drinks, tomorrow i do boring stuff and get set to head out on the road with my i-pod and a map to see what the lovely New Zealand has to offer!!
