Where I stayed
After walking to my hostel and realising that i need to get rid of some stuff in my bag i arrived checked in and got my bed!! I took a wander around and it really is a pretty place, the architecture is cool and there is something in the air, a vibe a feeling. whatever it is it's a good one.
Now after my frank disappointment at the lack of Warhol work in ottawa i arrived to discover that Montreal had a whole exhibition dedicated to him! Hallelujah! That was my first day done, i spent hours in there and finally got to see the brillo boxes and the amazing Debbie Harry portrait. It was wicked, i took pictures all day only to take the last one in the last room and be told... NO PHOTOS! haha too late!!
Hangover on sunday but i marched it off by going to the park for the day. I hiked up to the top of this park (whilst listening to Oasis's new album which by the way is immense- go buy it!) Anyway i walked up to the top a sprawling view of the city faced me and it was lovely. I sat there for a while drinking coke and eating crisps, trying to recover!I went off following the sound of drums... on a sunday in that park is something called the tam tam... basically a bunch of stoned people with bongos get together and make music. Sounds boring but it was incredible, there were about twenty of them and it was cool, people were dancing people wandered along with other instruments and jammed. Very very cool!
I spent my last day milling around the streets taking everything in and wandering around to my hearts content and praying my french would see me right in Quebec!
