So after a night in LA i headed down to San Diego where i arrived merrily soaking up the sun and took a walk around the town and after a while headed back to my hostel, which incidentally had a fair few hotties floating around!! Anyway as i say i was quite merry, that was until walking down the street i see a small gathering of people, i look over the shoulder of one of them and see a table with a small plastic box, out the corner of my eye something moves, look at the mans hand (and i apologize now for my language) IT WAS A FUCKING TARANTULA ON A MANS HAND! A huge hairy one. I actually thought i was going to die with fright. We all know how ridiculously scared of them i am, i recall holding my heart and my face and running down the street muttering something along the lines of 'oh my fucking christ' looking like a loon no doubt.

I was so freaked so i spent the evening in my hostel had a few drinks and then had an early night! Next morning a friend from San Fran showed up and we headed down to San Diego zoo, which may possibly be the best zoo in the world, so many animals, pandas to rattle snakes and everything in between it was amazing, plus it was like walking through a tropical garden so all day we wandered around in the glorious Californian sunshine and at times to be honest felt a bit like i was on a mini safari! It was very cool!

Headed out for dinner where i had the most hilarious answer to my "do you have veggie burgers?" question. The guy i asked replied... completely seriously i might add. "We have turkey?"

Not vegitarian!! Laughable if nothing else.

Next day we went wandering along the waterfont again past the huge aircraft carrier and around some cute little shops and then to the seriosus business of sunbathing on a grassy knowl where some people were rehearsing a wedding. Running theme of my trip so far, never seen so many weddings!! We stayed there long enough for me to have big white bits on my feet from my flip flops. I told you i would get a tan!!

We then proceeded to go for mexican dinner, followed by margharetas, some more margahretas and deciding to have a quiet night in we went out for 'one or two' on a hostel pub crawl to get absolutely battered and not recall getting in? I do have about a million photos of grinning so i'm assuming we had a great night, i know there was a piano in one of them!! That and i got changed from what i'd been out in, to other clothes, not my pjamas and slept in them.

The next morning saw a hostel full of very rough people and everyone talking to each other knowing no ones names. Despite my horrendous hangover i decided to go to Tijuana in mexico for the day as it's about 45 minutes on a tram to get to the border. It was really quite cool walking across and hering the rattle of the turnstyles as hundereds of people filed across, no customs no nothing. It's amazing how it changes from modern northern america to shacks sandy streets and annoying street traders within a five minute walk. I'm pleased i went but mexico was a dump - well Tijuana was should i say, i got something said to me about 15 times, i think it was comments about me being white which was nice. I have to say i didn't feel safe particularly safe so whilst i had a good mooch around and looked at the stalls and shops and stuff i left to head back up to San Diego where i did actually manage to have a quiet night ready for my train the next day to LA with the girl i'd met up with. I changed my plans to go back with her as i missed out on the Viper room my first two visits.

A nice scenic train and a snooze and we were back in LA and a stupidly long cab ride (LA is huge) we were in our hostel and got ready for our night out to the viper room which i'm ashamed to say that after a litre of vodka between 2 of us (sorry mum) we headed out with some guys from our hostel to the viper room for a night of drunken chaos which is a blur, although after piecing together, photos flashbacks and bruises we got most of the night back!! I demanding that the doormen get dave grohl there asap as i paid 12 dollars to get in and he was the only reason! He was amazingly nice all things considered!!

The next morning we were full of headaches and if it wasn't for the tickets to see batman that we had booked i'd have stayed in bed all day! But alas no, batman called and we dragged ourselves to the farmers market and got a lifesaving breakfast and then after taking a look around we headed to the arclight on sunset which incidentially had heath ledgers joker outfit along with batmans suit and the clown masks which was a complete bonus. The excitement of seeing it in hollywood and everyone lining up with their batman t-shirts on was super cool!! We were so stupidly excited, and deservedly so. I think it's fair to say thats the best batman so far and heath acts the socks off of everyone. I love watching films in the american cinemas everyone claps at the amazing stunts and really laghs at the jokes. Makes it loads more fun!! I'm gonna annoy everyone so much when i come home!!!

That afternoon we met up with a girl from San diego and we headed onto hollywood and had dinner and strolled up and down the street which on a friday night turns into freakville. So many weirdos and the 'street performers' only get crazier on a saturday night. Me ad christy waited for the bus and both of us were ready to smack a 'singer' across the head. She was dressed like adam ant threw herself around with no rhythm or plan and screeched down a microphone. The bus at night was a delight and was pleased to get back to the hostel in one piece!

And now it is the next day and i took the greyhound from hollywood to las vegas where i am right now, to actually recuperate and not party. It's so nice to have a room to myself and a bath! That and a ticket to see Elton john on wednesday! Getting here wasn't exactly horrific either as i got to drive through the desert yet again. I am a happy lady when i'm in the Mojave! So Viva Las vegas... lets hope i win some money... the question is black or red?!
