G'day Sports!
Hope you're all well. Just a quick update, because I've now worked out how to upload photos, woo woo!!! Since my last update, I've got to see a lot more of Melbourne and the area I've been staying in, St Kilda, and decided I really like Melbourne, but probably not enough to move there (so don't worry, Mum!). I went to the Neighbours night, but it was a bit of an anti-climax I'm afraid. The only person I recognised was Steph; no Harold Bishop, no Dr Karl, and no Toadie.
I went on a day trip along the Great Ocean Road, which was ace. It started out with miserable weather; then it started raining and we thought it was going to be a washout. But then as we got past the archway over the road (check out the photo), the clouds cleared and we got tons of sunshine, as you'll see in the rest of the pics.
The guide was sooo miserable; he must make this trip three times a week so he was struggling to drum-up any enthusiasm in himself. Most of the rest of the group were good; I met an Israeli girl who was travelling all over the place who was nice, and an Irish couple that had travelled down the east coast, so told me a few good things to do and places to stay. Then there was a Canadian bloke who had been travelling for months and months and wanted to talk about it ALL the time. He just reminded me of Victoria in Thailand, Cluc, I was waiting for him to start describing everything as "interesting"!
I landed in Sydney 4 hours ago and it was throwing it down! I had to see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House anyway, and just as I got to the harbour, the rain stopped, the clouds parted and the sun came out. Now I really feel like I'm in Australia! I'm here for a few days now and I've got loads I want to do, so no doubt I'll have another shedload of photos to bore you with in a few days.
I'm taking care,
Vicky
