From Alice Springs i took a 3 day tour up to Darwin. It was alot of driving as its a long distance to cover in 3 days. However theres not much to see between Alice and Darwin. Our first main site was the Devils Marble, which was very interest, i was expecting half a dozen rocks, a dozen at most, but they cover a large area, several kilometers infact. The following day we visited Daly Water Pub, which is famous outback pub, its similar to William Creek Pub, with lots of belongings left by travelers who have passed by on there travels. On the third day we arrived at Katherine Gorge and took an hours hike to an isolated gorgeous waterfall and waterhole. The water was very welcoming as it was a hot and sticky day, especially after walking a distance in the heat. That night we stayed in Darwin.

The following day i began another 3 day tour this time around the Top End. We spent the 1st morning swimming in acouple of the waterholes in Lichfield National Park The Devils Marbles

. In the afternoon we took a cruise along the Mary River. It was very pretty, we saw a couple fresh water crocodiles and a salt water croc sunbathing on the river bank. There were thousand of lily pads, most of which were in flower. Just as the cruise was heading back, the heavens opened and we got soaked. That night we camped near the north coast at Point Stuart. The next day we visited a couple of the aboriginal rock art sights, at Ubirr and Nourlangie. At Ubirr we walked to the top of the escarpment and have a lovely view overlooking the plains of Kakadu National Park. While we were walking around Nourlangie Rock Art Site we spotted a Black Wallaroo, apparently we were very luckly as they are only found in that part of the park (no where else in the world) and our guide had only court a glimpse before that day we saw one. On the final day of the tour we went to Gunlom Waterfall. We walked to the top of the falls where there were acouple of waterholes you could swim in while looking over the edge of the waterfall to the ground below and the plains out in the distance.

It was then back to Darwin for a few days to unwind.
