Oh my God. 9 Years Together!! I'm sure the black death didn't last that long!

Anyway, in typical Lorna fashion, she stayed in bed all morning whilst I had a two hour walk to the bus station and back to buy our tickets to Puerto Iguazu for the 9th of April.
I then carried out the far more important task of collecting 4 litres of beer to be consumed whist watching the England match this afternoon!! Trust me, you need beer when watching England, just like you do when watching Forest!

Back at the hostel we assumed our positions on the sofa in front of the TV. We watched the lucky Spanish beat Turkey first before the big England v Ukraine kick off. This is the perfect way to spend our anniversary together.
We both had our England tops on and beer in hand and chanting our usual crap England war songs!

It was sort of inevitable that Schevchenko would score, but.....meat pie, sausage roll, come on England, giz a goal....ooooooo, we gotta corner!! And it was a late 2-1 victory. A good result making it Played 5 Won 5! If only Forest could win their last 5 games of the season!!

Allegedly, one of Argentina's most famous president's, Raul Alozin, died last night. He was the one that took over after Argentina lost the Falklands War. This hampered our journey to our Tango show tonight - not the Falklands War, the death of the ex-president - as the streets were all closed off for the mourners. It took us about 90 minutes to go 2 miles!! It was like watching Jeff up front on a Friday!!

When we finally got to the Tango place - Complejo Tango - we first had a one hour Tango lesson....yes, under the influence of this afternoons alcohol! I was brilliant of course and wowed the onlookers with my nimble and well timed movements. It did take me a short time to release that I didn't have to wear a big orange rubber glove and slap people round the face shouting "You've been Tango'd", but I got there in the end.
Lorna had to struggle with not being the leader!! She just couldn't accept the concept than men should lead and kept trying to throw me around like a rag doll!! Eventually she came round, like all women should, and accepted the fact that men lead and women follow!! (That should get my ass kicked!).

After our lesson, we sat down for a fully included and fantastic meal. It consisted of two bottles of wine, 2 empanadas each for starter, the biggest and most amazing steak I've ever had for main course and white chocolate mousse with strawberry sauce for dessert! Brilliant!

Then it was showtime. It was a fantastic 2 hour tango show that included music, singing and dancing. They even got me & Lorna up doing a bit of dancing...it gave me a chance to feel up the fit local dancers I suppose!! All in all, a fantastic night of lessons, dinner and show.

We got back to the hostel after midnight and crashed, full to the brim.

What can I say - How do you celebrate 9 years together in a perfect way?
Let's see....Go to Buenos Aires, watch England win at football, drink beers, have Tango lessons, enjoy a fantastic romantic meal, watch an awesome Tango show.....and spend it all with your beautiful wife.....Perfect!! Nothing more to be said! x
