Where I stayed
We walked down to the main plaza for another walk round, then dropped into a plaza side café for a drink.
I had café con leche (milky coffee) and Lorna had a tea. We also had a couple of empanadas each. It was very chilled sat there enjoying our afternoon tea - very posh.
I had some bad news today. Capital One seems to be in a bit of a financial crisis as they have made loads more people redundant - including my old boss! I checked with him and they aren't hiring people for at least a year, so my old jobs not available. It's not the end of the World as I wasn't expecting them to hold the job for me anyway, but it would have been nice. I just hope all my old friends there aren't impacted too much.
Looks like I will have to get off my fat ass when I get home, dust off the old CV and go job hunting. Anyone got any jobs going?
There is one thing for sure, it's not going to affect my last 5 weeks of travelling! I will worry about it when I get home.
We grabbed some snacks for the bus journey and then went back to the hostel. Lorna vegged for an hour by the pool and I sat and watched the 1st half of the England v Slovakia match. It was 1-0 to England when we left for the bus station. I am not sure if Slovakia were really rubbish or the England players needed drug testing, but for the first 15-20 minutes it was an awesome attacking display.
Our bus left about 16.20 and we relaxed in our extra comfy reclining seats. We were served tea and biscuits first and then got served a hot meal - steak and mashed potatoes, followed by a chocolate dessert!! We were not expecting all this food. We probably didn't need to bother buying any snacks!
The journey was really comfortable. The even showed a couple of films before we dozed off for the night.
