Today we just hung around Uyuni. We checked out of Prisoner Cell Block H around 11am then sat and had a late brekky of scrambled eggs.

I then went off to book a bus to La Paz for that evening. The first place I went to had no places left (apparently, all those people here for the party were heading home). The second place, Panasur, only had 2 seats left, so I bagged them. We leave at 8pm tonight and will get to La Paz around 7am tomorrow.

We then popped on the internet to back up our photos - it was that slow that we couldn't actually do anything else! We then went and sat outside a bar in the main plaza for a couple of drinks.
Tonight food was to be consumed at a Mexican restaurant in the plaza. A fine choice too. The enchiladas were fantastico - and I didn't once mention Speedy Gonzalez, the fastest mouse in all Mehico!

We got on our bus around 7.45pm. It was semi-cama so our seats reclined a long way back. The first three hours of the journey were really bumpy - I mean, Nemesis has nothing on this - but after that it straightened out a little.
Using the on board toilet was the greatest challenge on this journey, and I believe it should become an Olympic event. Just when you think you have control and you have lined everything up perfectly, you release the front tube trap and.....bang.....the bus hits another bump in the road and you urinate everywhere in the little cubicle except actually in the toilet!! How can that be so?! I think next time I will aim for the door, then when we hit a bump, I might actually get some in the blummin' right place.
Luckily, it was dark on the bus, so nobody could see my recently saturated trousers!

We did manage to get some sleep on the bus and arrived in La Paz at around 6.30am.
