Lorna woke up this morning with a bit of a cold. She should be bedridden really, but there was no way she was going to miss out on our Haighs Chocolate Factory tour. She did stay in bed until lunchtime though and then we headed off.
Lorna seemed a lot better when we got to the chocolate shop prior to the tour. I think the smell of the choc's seemed to ignite her! (There are many times that I have wanted to ignite her that's for sure! - only kidding honey!). The tour was really good. It should have been 20 minutes but ended up being 45 minutes long. They showed us all the chocolate making that they do. Amazingly, nearly all the chocolates are still hand made. It takes ages just to produce one box of choc's. Must admit, I think I would get fed up of the sight of chocolates if I worked here.
There were a couple of times that I had to peel Lorna off the glass partitions. She seemed to be stuck there from the saliva off her tongue!! Yes, Lorna had become a window licker!!
One thing for sure though - we got LOADS of free samples. They just kept throwing chocolates at us! Of course, most of us accepted them graciously. Lorna, on the other hand, just kept standing there going "more!", "more!". I think we could have made her do tricks for the chocolates!!
We did buy a couple of packs of choc's as well, so everyone was happy.
After the tour, we had a walk around Adelaide to stop ourselves feeling completely sick.
I then booked myself a ticket to go and watch Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets at 'soccer' tomorrow night.
We have also arranged to meet Sarah in town on Saturday night. We met Sarah whilst tubing in Laos and we arranged to meet up in Adelaide as it's where she lives. She has arranged to meet us in an Irish bar on Saturday night, then invited us down to her Mum & Dad's the following day for Sunday dinner!! I wonder if her parents actually know this yet!! This means I am going to have to be on best behaviour - oh dear!! Should be good fun though - and nice of her to invite us for dinner.
