MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE
Forget the Queen's Christmas Message, this is mine :
Whenever you have a sad moment, or a bad moment, remember that it is only a moment in a very long lifetime. Pick yourself up and give it another shot.
Try and smile at least once every day - it's contagious and may even spread a little happiness to many others.
Don't be afraid of the word 'No'. Ask a girl to dance, ask for extra free toppings on your pizza, ask to borrow something from a stranger - what's the worse that can happen - they say 'No'. What have you lost - Nothing. Let the moment go, then move on.
Spend more time being grateful for what you've got, rather than wasting your time being resentful for something you haven't.
That's enough of all that.
We were up at 9am this morning with a wake up call from Sue. Things were still spinning a bit from last nights session.
Santa had been and we unwrapped our prezzies. We had the Christmas music playing and had some bacon sandwiches. Then it was back to bed for an hour.
We then decided to go to the beach about 12.30. We were going to go to Bondi, but we had been told (by the info guy) Coogee is just as good and, although busy, it's not rammed. As it happens, buses weren't stopping for Bondi when they went down our street because they were full. A girl at the bus stop told us 3 had gone by already without stopping. Then a bus turned up going to Coogee so we jumped on. It's only one beach down from Bondi anyway.
Glad we did. It was great here. Lovely beach. Very busy but space on the beach without people being on top of you. It was a clear day as well with the sun beating down. We went on the beach and in the sea with our Santa hats on as well.
There was a really good atmosphere here. Everyone was playing Christmas music and there were loads of barbie's being used. Smelt grand. It was just a party mood all over.
It was great spending Christmas Day on the beach. We even had a McDonald's ice cream sundae as well. We spent the whole afternoon here.
We then got the bus back to town and back to the apartment. Lorna then cooked us a proper Christmas Turkey dinner. It was brill. We also had Chrissy pudding & custard for dessert.
Drink was in the form of our wine from the Hunter Valley which was great.
We gave my Sister Claire a ring in Malta and my Mum & Dad in the UK to wish them Merry Christmas.
We then spent the evening in traditional English fashion, slumped in front of the TV eating sweets!
Another fantastic day.
