We then went for a walk to Darling Harbour to get some info on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve etc. Needed to get transport details and when to go.
Decided to buy a weekly pass that covers buses, trains and ferries - so we have made plans to use it for Bondi, Manly, Coogee and other places.
After sorting the info out we went for a walk round Kings Cross to check out a couple of bars for tonight. We found another 'British Lolly Shop', so w treated ourselves again for Christmas.
We had steak and jacket potatoes for dinner before heading out. We also consumed some beer, wine and our old favourite - Sambuca! We were already a bit wobbly as we went out.
First stop was 'The Bourbon'. Kevin, who was on our China trip, told us about this place and the fact it did $3 drinks between 6pm and 9pm. It was true, so we downed a few cheap ones here. Texted Kev to tell him where we were (he is on the Gold Coast at the moment but lives in Sydney), he is still planning to meet up with us for a beer on Australia Day on the 26th Jan.
We then moved on to O'Malleys Irish Bar. This place had a great atmosphere. It was packed, not too expensive and they had a singer on doing loads of Chrissy songs. We ended up staying in here all night until about 1am. It was still packed when we left.
I was extremely merry by now. We decided to head back to the apartment and continue our evening there. We rang my Sister Claire and left a message to tell her Santa had been to us and wasn't bothering coming to Malta! This was a very drunken message so we have no idea if she could make any sense of it!!
We then banged on some Chrissy tunes and hit the beer & Sambuca again - it was a cracking night.
