We had lunch overlooking the beach again which has become the norm for us now - it's brill. We get some fabulous views, instead of a canteen wall or a microwave door!
Then it was back to the beach. The waves here are huge! The body boarding, wave jumping and body surfing was great. Even if the wave hit you when you were stood still, it could still drag you a good 10 yards at least.
Lorna managed to bash herself on the nose with her board and she thought she'd broken it. She hadn't, but 5 minutes later she did it again, the numpty! Again, no breakage's though.
Hopefully the board will eventually knock some sense into her.
It was really tiring tackling all those waves (didn't spot any Mexican one's though), so we headed back to the park pool for a rest. The pool had 2 slides and Seahorse & Oyster fountains! Not fountains of Seahorse's and Oyster's, that would be a little cruel I think! No, they were models, apparently for the kids to use......you just know we had a play don't you!!
We had treated ourselves to some of the Aussies cheap steak again tonight, washed down with some Tooheys.
It was then Spanish lesson time for Lorna - they are not going well. She seems to be speaking in a language known as vodka-ish!
She can say 'Do you speak Spanish?' in Spanish, which is only useful if the other person DOES actually speak Spanish! A pointless question for someone who doesn't. Also, if the other person answers yes, Lorna is still no better off because that's the only phrase she knows!! Plonker.
Actually, I'm being a bit harsh. She does know how to ask for beer, wine and the menu! I suppose that's all she needs really!
