After brekky we set off and did a smooth 10km walk along the Twizel Walkway. This walk took us by streams, woodland, open fields and snow capped mountain views. It was a really decent relaxing walk. It was all helped by some fantastic hot and sunny weather that we had again. It is also extremely quiet round the walkway - a case of spot the human!!
One thing we did spot was a giant rabbit! It was bloody huge. I thought we was in some crazy movie. It was that big that it actually jumped over a fence to get into the next field!! It was a hare-raising experience! I wonder if he was late, so late, for a very important date, no time to lose, no time to waste......
Sorry about that.
After the walk, we crashed out on the lawn outside our hostel in the sun and had ourselves a picnic & a few cold beers. Grand.
We finished the day with a phone call home and a film in the TV room.
