As promised we did very little today so we could rest our limbs.
We left for Invercargill at 7am, arriving at 9am. We didn't bother going to Stewart Island for a couple of reasons. Firstly it was NZ$110 each to use the ferry (about £40 each). Secondly, we only get a few hours on the Island due to the extra time we spent on the Milford Track, so it won't be worth it. We would prefer to go another time when we get longer to stay over. It was well worth the sacrifice to do the Milford Track though!
So today we got all the mundane stuff out the way.
We did the internet stuff, did our laundry (it was desperate, my socks made their own way to the washing machine and it was only the stubborn understains that held my boxer shorts together!). We then did a shopping trip at the cheap & cheerful Pak 'n' Save.
We then went back to the hostel, Tuatara Backpackers, to watch a film. We decided to watch 'Seven', but amazingly there were no DVD's and no DVD Player! It was all VHS!!!! How far back in time have we travelled!!? There were all these buttons called 'rewind' and 'fast forward'! It was crazy!
We survived our ordeal though and managed to watch the film.
We then grabbed some dinner and vegged for the night. I love this not working stuff!
