Today was mainly a travelling day.
Got ourselves a new driver today - Nana. Got on the bus at 6.45am to get to the ferry terminal. Jumped on the 8am ferry to the South Island. The journey was about 3 and a half hours and we got to watch Ocean's 13 and Goal! on the big screen. Made the time go pretty fast.
After the ferry we were back on the bus from the Picton ferry terminal, via Nelson, to Marahau on the edge of Abel Tasman National Park. This National Park was the 2nd one in the World. Only Yellowstone in the USA was before it. We finally arrived at our digs about 6pm.
The place was called Old Macdonald's Farm, and was a farm. There were loads of animals and most of them were goats - no kidding. (Did you get it?). The dorms were basically a bed in a shed. There were 3 bunks in the 'shed' but there was only me in Lorna in ours, so that fell lucky again. We are stopping here for two nights so having our own shed is ideal.
It started to rain at about 8pm and went on all night. Hopefully it will clear up tomorrow, but we are definitely going for a walk, rain or shine.
