Up at 7.30am today to leave for the nations capital. Third new Stray driver today, Ricky, was the guy to take us.

Not really much to report from the trip. We went through a town that is famous for it's Gum Boots. Apparently this is what Kiwi's call their Wellington boots - Gum Boots! I found it quite funny that we went through a town of Gum Boots on our way to "Wellington"! You can't make it up. Thing is, this town is so inbred, they even have special days dedicated to Gum Boots!! Are they aware there is life beyond their town limits?!

Anyway, when we got to the capital, Gumboot, sorry, I mean Wellington, the bus stopped at the top of Mount Victoria. This gave us some fantastic views over the city.

We got to the hostel at about 3pm. We ended up in a 6 berth dorm with another girl we had met on the bus - Katherine. There was only us three in the dorm all night so it was happy days. Katherine leaves tomorrow but I bet me & Lorna aren't lucky enough to have the whole dorm to ourselves!!

Tonight we decided to treat ourselves to a Domino's Pizza. This will be the first Domino's we have had since leaving the UK over 4 months ago. Today is also Cheap Tuesday's at Domino's, so we got a large pizza for NZ$6.90 (about £2.40)!

We went to eat our pizza in the Basement Bar (you can do that here) and had some 2 for 1 beers. This worked out at NZ$3 a pint (about £1.10). Simon was a very happy little bunny tonight!

In this bar they had a bingo night!! Lorna got really excited about playing bingo - it was a sad and sorry sight, but we let her have her fun for an hour!! She was a bit stroppy when she didn't win anything, but a cheap vodka & coke soon cooled her off.
