After a good lie in (til about 12 noon!!), we went out to get a late brekky and decided on a day of nothingness as we recovered from yesterdays tubing.
We have decided that we have to leave Vang Vieng one day, so we have decided to book the bus to Luang Prabang for tomorrow. The bus journey is going to take 7 hours, so we don't expect to get there until 5pm tomorrow.
Because of the late arrival, we have decided to book a guesthouse in advance. We were trying to avoid this type of thing, but if the bus is late we don't want to be trapsing around Luang Prabang in the dark. We have only booked it for two nights (we could have just done 1 I suppose), then we can move if we want.
After all the internet work, we headed down to the Sunset Bar and lay in the hammocks for a few hours, overlooking the river (and enjoying a cold Beer Lao of course). It really is chilled here. It actually started to rain about 4.30ish, so we headed back to our guesthouse and sat on the balcony with the music on for a while.
Later on, we went to the Sakura Cafe for a pizza - the pizzs are really good here, before heading to some small cafe bar (I forget it's name) to watch a couple of episodes of friends.
We knew you can get free whiskey & Cokes at the Oh La La Bar, so we headed there for a couple
We went for the last ones at Jaidees and bumped into Luka, Becky, Steve & Jay so the party atmosphere began. It was based around us leaving tomorrow and that we should "just have one more"! The one more turned into a few bar. Even when Jaidees closed we went over to the Island to have a few in the Bucket Bar. It was a really fun night which we forced ourselves to end at 2am - everyone else still remained at the bar!!
So to bed, not looking forward to the bus tomorrow.....
