We were originally going to leave for Luang Prabang tomorrow (Tuesday), but we like it here too much, so we are going to stay until Friday! We have decided to change guesthouse though, for one near the river - which is actually cheaper as well! So we have booked into the Grand View Guesthouse for the next few nights - 4 I think.
We then went and grabbed a bacon baguette (they are only 60p and massive) before crashing at the Sakura Café for the afternoon. We watched The Simpsons Movie (Spider Pig, Spider Pig, does whatever a spider-pig does. Can he swing, from a thread, no he can't, coz he's a pig) - classic. We also had a meat lovers pizza here and some drinks - they do really good pizzas at this café!
As we have decided to stay in Vang Vieng for 3 more days, we have decided to fly from Luang Prabang to Chaing Mai instead of taking the slow boat to Chaing Rai first. This will save us 3 days and therefore bring us back on track. We got some cheap flights with.....yep, you guessed it....Laos Airlines!! We must be mad! We had to have a few beers on our balcony to steady our nerves - and the flights not for another 8 days!!
In the evening, we headed off to the Xayoh café for some food before going to the Sanaxay Bar for a few beers - although Lorna had a mug of tea and a Toblerone - Freak!!
There was a massive storm over the mountains, which we could see from our balcony, so we decided to have the end of the night on their with our last drinks!
